Alyssa Minten is an agricultural, fashion, and lifestyle photographer. She is based in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.
Growing up on my family’s farm in Lambton County, one of my favourite sights is the cows in the pasture, or a tractor in the field, with the sun setting behind.
I don’t remember exactly how old I was the first time I picked up a camera, but I do remember what it looked like: My parents had bought me a little red point-and-shoot, and I took it everywhere.Â
As I grew in my love and knowledge of photography, my camera brought me many places. It was one of the first things to help me break out of my introverted shell, and gave me the courage to do hard things.
Now, this outlook still influences my work – looking for those beautiful moments life has to give.

Where are you located?
I have home bases in Lambton County and Oakville, Ontario. That being said, I am open to travel! Additional travel costs may apply.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Each project requires different equipment to get the job done. I am knowledgeable in full-frame DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, strobes and natural light, and frequently use CaptureOne and the Adobe creative suite.Â
Sometimes projects requires gear outside of our usual scope – we are connected with several equipment rental houses in the area, and will source gear as needed for these projects.
What are your rates?
As each project has different needs and requirements, each quote is tailored to the specific job. Some of the factors that go into the price include: creative fee, post-production fee, and travel costs. Depending on the project, other expenses may include: pre-production fees, location costs, craft services, etc. Reach out here to get a personalized quote!Â
What is image licensing?
In Canada, creatives, by default, hold the copyright to their intellectual property and need to provide their clients with a usage license for the product.
Some factors that go into image licensing include: WHERE it will be used (ie. city, country, worldwide, etc.), HOW it can be used (ie. social media, print campaign, etc.), and even HOW LONG the image can be used for.
Image licenses vary based on client needs, and the price varies to reflect that. This means you aren’t paying for more than what you need.
