Hi, I’m Alyssa—a photographer, storyteller, newlywed, and lover of all the little moments that make life so meaningful.

I picked up my first camera—a little red point-and-shoot—when I was about 11 or 12, and I was hooked right away. What started as a childhood love has grown into more than 11 years as a professional photographer, and it continues to be a love of mine.

Growing up on my family’s farm in Lambton County taught me to notice beauty in the everyday: a golden sunset in the fields, cows grazing in the pasture, the quiet strength of a farmer at work. That perspective still shapes how I see the world—and how I photograph it.

My approach is natural, warm, and documentary-style, focused on capturing the quiet, in-between moments that often say the most: a groom brushing joyful tears from his bride’s cheek, a child holding a loved one’s hand, new parents gazing at their baby in awe. Life moves quickly, but these moments are treasures worth holding onto.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me with a good book, enjoying the outdoors, watching sunset, painting, traveling, or spending time with my family and friends.

At its core, my work is about preserving love, joy, and meaning in a way that feels true and timeless. If you’re looking for images that capture the heart of your story, I would be honoured to create something you’ll cherish for years to come.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Each project requires different equipment to get the job done. I am knowledgeable in full-frame DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, strobes and natural light, and frequently use CaptureOne and the Adobe creative suite.

Sometimes projects require gear outside of the usual scope – I are connected with several equipment rental houses, and will source gear as needed for these projects.

What is image licensing?

Image licensing is required for all commercially-used imagery.

In Canada, creatives, by default, hold the copyright to their intellectual property and need to provide their clients with a usage license for the product.

Some factors that go into image licensing include: WHERE it will be used (ie. city, country, worldwide, etc.), HOW it can be used (ie. social media, print campaign, etc.), and even HOW LONG the image can be used for.

Image licenses vary based on client needs, and the price varies to reflect that. This means you aren’t paying for more than what you need.

Reach out here to request licensing information specific to your needs.
